The name traces back to the 1800's, when Blithedale was imagined as a place of restoration, simplicity, and thoughtful living. We bake with that same spirit — small batches, made with care, for our neighbors and friends.

Meet Megan
Welcome!My StoryA few years ago, I started baking for my kids. Muffins were a great way to make a delicious snack with some good stuff in them - I could put fruits and vegetables like pumpkin, banana and apple, fiber like in flax seed, oats and almond flour, and protein like eggs and plain yogurt. I became obsessed with tweaking recipes to maximize the good stuff with just enough sweetness like maple syrup to make them taste delicious. My kids, now 6, 4 and 1.5 years old, have been providing verbal and non-verbal feedback along the way.
Living in Marin allows us access to delicious local organic food sources. I do my best to get as close to the source as possible and get produce from local farms when I can. I am always trying to level up the quality of ingredients in the recipes for my family and yours.
I’ve always been interested in health and nutrition. I’m a pediatric nurse practitioner with experience in weight management, primary care, and health technology. I believe food is a foundational part of good health and good energy.
